He also took control of Rumble Ruins, and bought one of MEGA City’s luxury restaurants as well as Slappy Shores‘ main Slap Factory, all of which he also transformed into highly protected strongholds. Dinraal tears of the kingdom
With a serpentine figure coated head-to-tail in flames and a nasty habit of throwing fireballs at anything that moves, Dinraal is easily the hardest of the three standard elemental dragons to collect materials from. Once you’ve cooked up some heat-resisting dishes or scavenged the Ember armor set, you can dive down onto its back from Sokkala Sky Archipelago and start harvesting.
If you can’t find Dinraal in the skies of both the Akkala and Eldin regions, make a camp before the East Akkala Plains Chasm and wait for Dinraal to emerge. We don’t recommend trying to find and ride any dragon in the Depths, as it can become a chore. Link can easily land on Dinraal’s body using the Glide armor set.
Dinraal can be tricky to spot, as the Death Mountain impedes visibility depending on your location. To make it easier to find Dinraal, you can lift yourself up in the Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower and Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower.

The first step in mounting a dragon isn’t surprising: you need to gain some altitude. Thankfully, there are usually at least two Skyview Towers around each dragon path, which you can use to quickly move between the areas and lift yourself up, allowing yourself to easily spot the dragon and glide over. Other options, such as using Recall on any sky rocks on the ground, or just building a vehicle to take flight using Zonai Devices, will also get you close to the dragons. You can also wait by their respective chasms and hop on as the dragons are entering or exiting.
Since it is difficult to attack the mouth and its hands, it is recommended to attack with Bow and Arrows. if it is difficult to aim well, you can jump down for a moment and use the Bow Throw to attack easily. Also, since there is an updraft around you, you can open the Paraglider and get right back it.
Dinraal is one of four roaming Dragons in Hyrule, the others being Naydra, Light Dragon, and Farosh. She can be found roaming the Eldin region, Great Hyrule Forest, Akkala, and Hebra. Dinraal guards the Spring of Power. While she cannot be defeated, she does not actively try to harm Link. However, if Link gets too close, he will be seared by the fire emanating from her body, unless he possesses a full set of Fireproof Armor that has been enhanced twice by a Great Fairy. Dinraal will drop different Materials if Link shoots her with a Bow. Depending on what part of Dinraal is hit, she will drop a Shard of Dinraal’s Horn, Shard of Dinraal’s Fang, Dinraal’s Claw or Dinraal’s Scale.
Dinraal flies around the outer areas of the Death Mountain, circling East Akkala, North Akkala Beach, Akkala Wilds, Skull Lake, Eldin’s Flank, Darunia Lake, and Thyphlo Ruins.
